Are you a Veterinary Technician ready to take your skills to the next level?

At Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville (AESC), you’ll work just 3 overnight shifts per week with 4 days off while gaining hands-on experience in Emergency, ICU, and Critical Care medicine.

Our ICU Technicians are the eyes and ears of the critical care team.

If you 1+ year of veterinary technician experience, strong foundational tech skills, thrive on complex cases, advanced nursing, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes, and a desire to keep learning, we want to meet you.

ER/Specialty experience is preferred, NOT required.

Whether you’re already working in Emergency or Specialty medicine or you’re an experienced General Practice Veterinary Technician ready to make the jump, AESC offers the cases, team, technology, and support to help you grow.

⭐ Work 3 Nights. Get 4 Days Off.

This full-time schedule means three 12-hour overnight shifts and four days off every week.

During your shifts, you’ll work alongside our dedicated Overnight ICU and Emergency team caring for hospitalized and critically ill patients. Then you’ll have four days to recharge and enjoy life outside the hospital.

AESC is looking for Veterinary Technicians who want to expand their technical skills and build a career in Emergency, ICU, Critical Care, or Specialty medicine.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with high-acuity patients while developing skills in areas like emergency stabilization, CRIs, transfusion medicine, oxygen therapy, anesthesia, advanced patient monitoring, and ICU care alongside our Emergency and Specialty teams.

Interested in RECOVER certification, VTS (ECC), or advancing your emergency and critical care skills? We want technicians who want to grow, and we’ll help you build that path.

You’ll also gain exposure to specialty services including Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Anesthesia, and advanced imaging.
