ITS Job Description: Data Developer and Lover of Learning

We are seeking a talented, passionate individual to fill a unique and multifaceted technical role at ITS.

Instead of a single area of endeavor, this position encompasses Java architecture/development, Windows/AWS-oriented DevOps, and evolution of our enterprise platforms, including Smartsheet and Power BI.

It is not expected that you will have deep experience in all of these areas but, rather, that you are compelled by a love of learning to explore and master new technical spheres.

We are strongly cloud-oriented and focused on AWS.

Primary responsibility

Help develop data migration solutions using our Java/AWS-based cloud platform

What we require

1. A good cultural fit in accordance with everything written above
2. Superb, demonstrable skills as a software architect and developer. Java experience is strongly preferred but not required.
3. Very strong communication skills—both verbal and written. Communication skills are insufficiently prized in the IT world, especially as they affect the quality of so many things from team collaboration to client communication to artifacts of every kind (naming, code comments, documentation, proposals, SOPs, etc. etc. etc.).
4. Views remote, flexible work as a big benefit. Not everyone does.
