Location: Cape Canaveral, FL – Fully Onsite
Contract Duration: 09/28/2026 – 10/01/2027
Pay Rate: $50/hr to $58/hr. on W2
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a Production Control Specialist to support a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will focus on reducing work-order backlog, improving ERP/MRP data integrity, expediting critical jobs, and providing production control support where needed.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with production scheduling, work-order management, expediting, backlog cleanup, and ERP/MRP systems and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drive reduction of the work-order backlog by reviewing and dispositioning idle or unnecessary orders.
• Resolve kitted-but-stalled orders and close out completed work orders.
• Execute targeted expedite activities for high-priority jobs by identifying material, kit requirements, and production blockers.
• Coordinate with production teams and related work centers to prevent schedule delays.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data integrity and ensure production information is accurate and up to date.
• Provide production control coverage and handle routine escalations as needed.
• Track and communicate daily status on backlog reduction, expedite activities, and work-center handoffs.
• Identify recurring constraints and production blockers and escalate them to appropriate leadership.
• Partner with the core Production Control team and assume work-center ownership when required.
• Support additional work centers once assigned backlog has been cleared while maintaining accurate production data.
• Help keep WIP moving and minimize future work-order backlog.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with production scheduling, production control, expediting, or backlog/data cleanup in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, Costpoint, or similar.
• Comfortable working directly with ERP/MRP data rather than relying solely on dashboards or reports.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize work orders in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work fully onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with work-order backlog remediation, data cleanup, or production expediting.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project.
• Familiarity with Jira/ITS and AI tools.
• Experience in both development and production manufacturing environments.
• Aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
