The AR Supervisor is responsible for guest billing and to supervise the staff of the Accounts Receivable department in order to ensure timely and accurate financial information to hotel executive management.  Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

To enforce hotel credit policies as they relate to advance deposits, direct billings, trade accounts, collection procedures, credit card procedures, and chargebacks.

→ To ensure bills are processed and collected in a timely manner.

→ Applies accounts receivable cash receipts to accounts receivable invoices.

→ Coordinates with various departments and GL Accountants to process billing requests.

→ Assists with special accounting projects.

→ Maintains accounts receivable aging including follow up and collection of past due invoices, as necessary.

→ Keeps all accounts receivable accounting records filed and accessible.

→ Initiates and processes monthly journal entries.

→ Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High school education or equivalent.  College degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years auditing experience.  Two years supervisory experience preferred.

• Familiarity with auditing and basic accounting concepts, practices, and procedures. 

• Effective supervisory and communication skills. 

• Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills. 

• Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills. 

• Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., computer, 10-key, copier, fax, and telephone). 

• Familiarity and proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. 

• Ability to read, write, and understand English. 

• Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
