IOM in South Sudan is responsible for the management of the co-location of humanitarian actors (Humanitarian Hub/Logistic Base) within the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) base, particularly in Malakal and Bentiu. IOM is currently providing logistics and facilities management support to 39 agencies currently working and residing in the Hub in Malakal.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, Facility Management, or a related
  field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
• University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.

Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

• Experience in humanitarian operations, facility management, infrastructure management or
  logistics coordination;
• Demonstrated experience in managing service providers, contractors and operational teams;
• Experience in financial tracking, procurement planning and resource management is an
  advantage;
• Familiarity with solar power systems, generators and infrastructure maintenance is an advantage;
• Experience in project implementation in post-conflict or transitional situations;
• Previous related experience in South Sudan field operations is an advantage; and,
• Experience in supporting or managing humanitarian hub operations in emergency or complex
  operational environments.

• Strong coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex operational environment;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data tracking tools; and,
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Working knowledge of another official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
