Under the overall supervision of the Global Office Director and the Head Global Programme Support Unit and the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer, the Programme Support Associate (PSU) provides support to donor and thematic teams in the Global Programmes Unit in the areas of project support and knowledge management.

  1. Update and maintain trackers and filing systems to record, for example, USG funded awards, reports, and correspondence.

  2. Draft reports, tables, briefs, talking points, and other reporting products to support GO Washington leadership, the Global Programmes team and HQ.

  3. Respond to general information requests and inquiries on IOM programming that is funded by the USG.

  4. Provide support to the organization of visits by IOM staff from HQ, regional and country offices, as needed.

  5. Assist in the review and submission of project proposals, reports, and other project deliverables. 

  6. Provide ad hoc support to donor and thematic teams in the Global Programmes Unit when required to cover staff gaps or shortages or respond to workload surges.

  7. Collect and compile information on current and prospective USG funding. 

  8. Carry out general administrative support for the Global Programmes Unit.

  9. Undertake duty travel as needed.

  10. Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
