- →Review and verify project budgets, change orders, and cost codes
- →Assist with budget development and forecast projections
- →Monitor actual project costs vs. budget and identify variances
- →Collaborate with project managers to review cost data and provide actionable insights
- →Track labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- →Review and reconcile project costs against budgets and forecasts
- →Generate timely and accurate job cost and variance reports
- →Prepare monthly cost reports and support month-end closings
- →Ensure proper coding and documentation of job-related transactions
- →Perform audits and assist with internal/external reviews
Requirements
~1 min read- 2+ years of experience in construction accounting or job cost accounting
- Strong knowledge of construction cost accounting principles
- Proficient with accounting software
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of construction contracts and billing methods (AIA)
