Responsibilities

  • →Track, analyze, and report job costs across multiple construction projects
  • →Review and verify project budgets, change orders, and cost codes
  • →Assist with budget development and forecast projections
  • →Monitor actual project costs vs. budget and identify variances
  • →Collaborate with project managers to review cost data and provide actionable insights
  • →Track labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • →Review and reconcile project costs against budgets and forecasts
  • →Generate timely and accurate job cost and variance reports
  • →Prepare monthly cost reports and support month-end closings
  • →Ensure proper coding and documentation of job-related transactions
  • →Perform audits and assist with internal/external reviews

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction accounting or job cost accounting
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost accounting principles
  • Proficient with accounting software
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and billing methods (AIA)
