Solution Architect

The role is about

• Leading the technical discussion with the Estonian government client and its integration parties
• Managing the system architecture of several systems in a project with the Estonian government

Requirements

• Should understand and feel what it implies by reading the expectations above;
• Good command of English (a must) both written and spoken;
• Good command of Estonian (a must) both written and spoken;
• Proven experience as system architect, solution architect or similar role of 3+ years 
• Scrum framework knowledge and practical applicability in Software Development Life Cycle;
• Documenting in Confluence and Sharepoint, when required;
• Ability to understand business processes is really appreciated to understand and assist the PO with their work;
• Expertise in creating and presenting process flow, solution and integration diagrams as well as other forms of documenting technical architecture
• First hand practical experience of using Java and Angular technologies among others
• Ability to deep dive into legacy databases, both PostgreSQL and Oracle, to understand the structure and data
• Understanding of typical Estonian government integration concepts (x-road, etc)
• Basic understanding of concepts of modern containerized infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Elicit technical requirements in close collaboration and cooperation with demanding technical stakeholders (architects, technical managers, etc) from the client side;
• Discover existing architecture within the system and solution and related integrations
• Create and iteratively update architecture documents as required by the client
• Working tightly with the technical delivery team to deliver on the agreed architecture
• Defend technical choices made together with the development team with stakeholders
• Participate in meetings with other agencies and parties if required by the client
• Do a practical first hand assessment of any code and database when required
