ispace is looking for a motivated Flight Software Intern to join our Flight Software Design Group in Tokyo. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world aerospace software systems in a collaborative engineering environment.

This position is suitable for undergraduate or graduate students who are required to complete an internship as part of their degree program
Candidates currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa will be prioritized
International students holding a valid Japanese student visa are also encouraged to apply
Hourly rate: JPY 1,500 per hour
This is an on-site role and cannot be performed remote

Contribute to the development of flight software as part of the Flight Software Team

Design, implement, and maintain embedded C code for flight software applications

Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability

Experience developing software in embedded C

Familiarity with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr RTOS)

Experience working with communication interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI)

Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP)

Experience with build systems (Makefile, CMake)

Experience developing on ARM-based SoCs

available for 6 months - 1 year
