Location: India - Airoli, Navi Mumbai

Main Purpose of Job

Coordination of marine supply chain activities for Inchcape customers, and the procurement and supply of marine equipment and spare parts.

Key Accountabilities

• Being a key member of Inchcape’s Marine Supply Chain Hub (MSCH).
• Handle RFQ for Spares, Stores and Provisions from clients and send RFQ for various suppliers for quotation.
• Compare prices and submit them to clients for approval.
• Once order is approved, send an order to the supplier and follow up delivery to the warehouse or vessel.
• When the order is delivered onboard/warehouse follow up for the invoice from the supplier.
• Ensure the competitiveness of purchasing function by sourcing new suppliers.
• Coordinate the most cost-efficient flight and delivery of vessel
• Ensuring best value for the Customer by providing timely feedback and quality service at all timeframes.
• Maintaining a detailed log of costs and income to facilitate accurate and timely invoices.
• Maintaining effective customer contact and helping grow the MSCH customer base.
• Taking part in customer meetings as and when required.
• Ensuring accounts payable & receivables are continually monitored and actioned appropriately.
• Creation of invoices and reports on Salesforce
• Any other duties as assigned by the reporting manager
• Smooth handling of all customer requests with no service failures or complaints.
• Growth of the total number of customer accounts and revenue per account.
• Timely delivery of all shipments and customer invoicing.

Essential

• Previous experience within an accounts payable or receivable function
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Experienced in Excel
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Educated to degree or equivalent level
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to work a 24/7 shift pattern
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
  
  

Desirable

• Previous supply chain management and/or procurement experience in a marine environment
• Other languages in addition to English
• Supply chain/procurement related qualification
