In the United States, Itaú has offices in Miami and New York with lines of business that offer a broad range of corporate investment, asset management and private banking services. Internship opportunities are available in both the Miami and New York offices. Candidates should apply to only one location.

The Itaú Summer Intern will take part in a 10-week program where they will be placed in an area for the duration of the summer, where you will engage in high impact strategic projects that will add value to the bank as well as your experience. This experience will be complemented by a mentorship program, networking events, speaker series, and an end of summer project. The goal of the internship is for the intern to leave with a strong foundation and cultivated skills, as well as an understanding of how a company such as Itaú works. Based on performance and a match between area and intern, successful summer interns may apply to future full-time positions at Itaú. 

            -       Undergraduate at a U.S. university

            -       Sophomore or junior, becoming junior or senior by June 2027

            -       Graduation: Dec 2027–Jun 2029

            -       GPA ≥ 3.65

            -       All bachelor’s majors welcome

            -       U.S. work authorization, including F-1 CPT/OPT

            -       100% in person in Miami

            -       No prior U.S Summer Internship participation

            -       Participation in extracurricular activities that demonstrate leadership, collaboration, initiative, community involvement, or personal development.

Technical Skills

            -          Proficiency in MS Office

1. Global Markets and Strategy: Shapes the bank’s trading, investment strategy, and treasury activities by navigating global markets and macroeconomic trends.  

2. Commercial: Drives client relationship management by originating opportunities and orchestrating the delivery of comprehensive private banking solutions.  

3. Investors: Provides deep market insights and investment advisory, designing strategies to meet client portfolio objectives.  

4. Portfolio Solutions: Creates innovative portfolio solutions through asset allocation, fund selection and tailored investment structures.

5. Risk Management Office: Safeguards the bank’s integrity by ensuring compliance, managing risks, and strengthening controls across all operations.

6. Corporate Strategy: Guides the bank’s long-term vision through strategic initiatives, market intelligence, and business transformation projects.  

7. Product Development & Client Journey: Enhances the private banking experience by designing financial products and optimizing every stage of the client journey.
