Your role at Iterable, reporting to the Director of Customer Education, will include enhancing our online customer training portal. You’ll help design/build customer education via e-learning modules using Camtasia, Articulate Rise 360 and Genially for the Skilljar Learning Management Platform. You’ll also create courses from training event sessions that encapsulate the content, including the curated video with activities for customers to follow.

About the Role

  • You must be very hands-on and focused on becoming a product expert, building and updating training and expanding/improving our online Academy offerings
  • Build e-learning with the help of the other team members, and work on new and dynamic projects outside the immediate scope of the role
  • A combination of being both autonomous for smaller projects and collaborative for other projects related to content creation along with bringing new ideas to the team
  • The main Key Results (KR) are: customer satisfaction regarding courses created; meeting product release deadlines; QA of work; and, any overarching team OKRs and company initiatives like Academy CSAT, course completion levels etc. 
  • Develop and continually hone expertise in our platform and 3rd party integrations
  • Update and maintain existing Academy content with platform optimizations and UI / branding changes
  • Create brand new content for the Academy based on the needs of our customers and program direction
  • Work with PS  and CS teams to continually integrate more and better education content across the customer journey to automate onboarding and scale the CS Organization
  • Work with the Product Marketing team to stay aligned on product releases and plan them into our Asana Customer Education tracker. Communicate and hold meetings as necessary 
  • Identify and iterate on non-product training content that enables growth marketers to succeed (strategy, operations, process, change management, etc.)
  • Develop videos in Camtasia and Genially, and create courses using Rise 360 for the SkillJar LMS in adherence to the Education Content Roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Director of Customer Education and other Instructional Designers on course development, module layout (course types), certifications and quiz creation
  • Own larger projects from start to finish, both from ideation and development phase, through to launch
  • Work autonomously where possible, troubleshooting issues and proposing solutions before bringing them to the larger team
  • Build and maintain relationships cross-functionally across Iterable, to effectively gather information from SME’s for course development, project ideation and updates, at all times 
  • Own the internal and external Academy Newsletters; develop comms and themes for each month based on product releases and seasonality of topics; and collaborating with the team members who own the dissemination of  newsletters
  • 2-4  years experience  in instructional design in the SaaS industry 
  • Experience in training development (online and live)
  • Experience and proficiency in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Descript, Videate, etc. 
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage several important projects at one time 
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and within quick turnaround times
  • Passionate about working with customers and distilling technical information into consumable content that enables them to do their jobs in Iterable effectively
  • Experience using  Camtasia, SnagIt, Articulate Rise 360, Genially, Canva, Descript and SkillJar LMS
  • A love for tech and how it can help people
  • Experience with email marketing, push or SMS software is a plus
  • LMS administration (experience building course content within a learning management system)
  • HTML or other technical coding experience
