Senior Plumber

The JADA Group of Companies invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Senior Plumber. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all plumbing operations on assigned residential and commercial and industrial construction projects. This role involves planning and coordinating installations, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, managing material usage, and ensuring quality and timely delivery of plumbing work across all job sites. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Project Planning & Coordination • Review building plans, specifications, drawings, and work schedules to determine plumbing installation requirements. • Install, repair, and modify plumbing systems in accordance with project specifications and timelines. • Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing equipment for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. • Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution. • Conduct site assessments to identify material, equipment, and labour requirements. Quality Control & Compliance • Perform plumbing installations and repairs in accordance with applicable building codes, industry standards, and Company procedures. • Inspect completed work to verify accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project specifications. • Test plumbing systems to identify leaks, defects, or operational issues and carry out corrective repairs as required. • Utilize the appropriate tools, equipment, materials, and installation techniques to ensure quality workmanship. • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements while carrying out assigned duties. Problem Solving & Technical Support • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing system failures, blockages, leaks, and other technical issues. • Assess site conditions and make practical recommendations to address unforeseen installation challenges. • Modify installations where necessary to accommodate site conditions while maintaining compliance with project requirements. • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of plumbing systems. • Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices and junior trade-persons as required. Inventory & Reporting • Monitor and maintain plumbing tools, equipment, and materials required to perform assigned work. • Record materials used, work completed, and time spent on projects. • Report material shortages, damaged equipment, and additional resource requirements to the Supervisor. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing results, repairs, and completed installations. • Submit progress updates and work reports as required by the Project Manager or Supervisor. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing from a recognized vocational or technical institution. • Additional supervisory or construction management training would be an asset. • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed plumber with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. • Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems.
