We are searching for the best talent for Sales Executive – Surgery.
Purpose:
The Sales Executive – Surgery is responsible for driving business growth, customer engagement, and market development across the Surgery portfolio within the assigned territory. This role partners closely with surgeons, healthcare professionals, and hospital stakeholders to deliver clinical and commercial value while supporting the adoption of innovative surgical technologies that improve patient outcomes.
The position plays a critical role in territory management, account development, clinical selling, and execution excellence, ensuring sustainable growth and strong customer partnerships across the Surgery business.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering and exceeding territory sales objectives by executing strategic account plans and driving growth across the Surgery portfolio, including Wound Closure, Biosurgery, Energy, Endomechanical, and new product launches
- Building trusted partnerships with surgeons, key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and hospital stakeholders to strengthen customer engagement and long-term business relationships
- Conducting clinical product demonstrations, procedural support, and in-service education programmes to enhance customer knowledge, confidence, and adoption of surgical solutions
- Developing and implementing territory and account growth strategies that maximise portfolio penetration, competitive conversions, and procedural adoption opportunities
- Managing tender activities, commercial negotiations, and account development initiatives while ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs
- Leveraging clinical evidence, market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to identify growth opportunities and support customer decision-making
- Collaborating effectively with Marketing, Professional Education, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to achieve commercial and customer objectives
- Maintaining accurate territory forecasts, sales reports, opportunity pipelines, and customer records while ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical selling standards, and Johnson & Johnson Credo values
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Business, or a related discipline
- Preferably 2 years or above experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related industry is preferred
- Strong interest in surgical technologies, healthcare innovation, and customer-facing commercial roles
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage effectively with healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver compelling clinical and commercial discussions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities and respond effectively to customer needs
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a territory independently
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and provide customer support as required (example Penang & Kedah)
