Department/Organization: 218101 - Dean's Office-School of Law


Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Law School Fellow supports the mission and programs of the law school through legal research, project coordination, and program development. Conducts legal and policy research on related issues. Draft reports, memoranda, articles, and other communications. Assists in the planning, coordination, and executions of events, workshops, and programs.


Additional Department Summary: Assists with assigned department (such as the Bounds Law Library, Career Services, Public Interest Institute, Leadership and Professional Identity office, or Dean’s office). Works under the supervision of the department head or designee. This position is designed to provide professional experience in legal education, research, and administration.

Initial appointments are for one year.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctorate.


Skills and Knowledge: Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible language for audiences.


Preferred Qualifications: Recent University of Alabama Law School graduate.
