This is a client-facing consulting role focused on helping utility organizations improve their day-to-day operations through technology.
You’ll serve as a bridge between clients, operations, product development, and project teams, becoming a trusted product and process expert.
The role combines business analysis, application configuration, implementation support, training, and change management.
You’ll work directly with established clients to understand their needs, identify gaps, and deliver practical solutions aligned with industry best practices.
The position offers significant exposure to utility business processes, customer information systems, and technology transformation initiatives.
You’ll work in a collaborative, project-driven environment with opportunities to influence product development and identify additional ways to support clients.
The role is fully remote, with approximately 25% travel required across North America and internationally as needed.

Partner with colleagues, managers, and clients to proactively deliver and maintain effective technology solutions.
Support existing and new clients throughout implementation and improvement initiatives, ensuring issues are resolved and solutions are successfully adopted.
Train users on system configuration, administration, maintenance, and effective day-to-day use.
Conduct business analysis activities, including gap analysis, root cause analysis, business process reviews, documentation, and requirements elicitation.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of client business processes and configure applications according to business requirements and accepted best practices.
Lead user acceptance testing and change management activities, ensuring stakeholders are satisfied with project outcomes.
Create user guides and project handover documentation to support ongoing customer service and operational continuity.
Identify opportunities to expand client capabilities and recommend additional products or services that address demonstrated business needs.
Support Project Managers with engagement management, milestone tracking, bottleneck identification, escalation, and project status updates.
Deliver services efficiently while helping ensure project milestones, timelines, and resource utilization targets are achieved.
Serve as a subject matter expert for product development and operational teams by sharing insights into customer needs, industry practices, and market trends.
Actively explore and adopt AI-enabled tools, automation, copilots, and chat-based assistants to improve workflows and problem-solving while maintaining appropriate security and compliance standards.

Requirements

Practical knowledge of the utility customer lifecycle, particularly meter-to-cash processes.
Knowledge of utility Customer Information Systems (CIS) processes and functionality.
Strong influencing, coaching, facilitation, and communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience collaborating with both business and IT teams in a client-facing or consulting environment.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time within North America, with international travel as required.
Eligibility to travel internationally, including holding a valid passport and any visas required for destinations such as Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
Experience implementing software within the utility sector is preferred.
An entrepreneurial, hands-on approach and willingness to work at multiple levels of a client organization.
A passion for helping customers and colleagues succeed, with a strong service-oriented mindset.
A degree in Computer Science, Business Technology Management, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline is desirable.
Knowledge of SQL and experience with application or system configuration are helpful.
Strong organizational skills, adaptability, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple project priorities.
Curiosity about emerging technologies and willingness to incorporate AI-enabled tools into everyday work responsibly.
