Claims Advisor, AB

As a Claims Advisor, you will manage complex first-party Accident Benefits claims and help customers navigate challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
You’ll assess coverage, investigate claims, establish appropriate reserves, and negotiate settlements within your authority.
The role combines technical insurance knowledge, critical thinking, customer service, and careful file management.
You’ll communicate with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, lawyers, and internal teams throughout the claims process.
Working remotely, you’ll operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for documentation, compliance, and service.
You’ll also collaborate closely with Accident Benefits Adjusters and Claims Assistants to resolve customer concerns and achieve effective outcomes.

• Experience in Accident Benefits, Bodily Injury, Property Claims, Underwriting, Sales, or another relevant insurance environment.
• Completion of a CIP designation, or a demonstrated interest and willingness to pursue the designation.
• Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess claim strengths and weaknesses and make well-reasoned decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
• Strong time-management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and accountability.
• Ability to interpret policy coverage, manage claim documentation, negotiate settlements, and work within regulatory requirements.
