This role leads people and develops technology capabilities across a broad Finance area, spanning software engineering, application expertise, SaaS solutions, and core ERP capabilities. You will guide and coach a diverse team while creating an environment where employees can grow, perform, and build long-term careers. The position combines people leadership with strategic workforce and capability development. You will identify skill gaps, strengthen critical competencies, and support upskilling, cross-skilling, and succession planning. Working closely with technology, product, talent, and finance stakeholders, you will align workforce capabilities with evolving business and delivery priorities. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-performing teams while supporting finance, accounting, treasury, controlling, and broader digital transformation initiatives.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, application experts, and SAP application experts supporting Finance capabilities.
Drive employee engagement, performance management, career development, regular 1:1s, feedback, goal setting, and performance reviews.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, inclusive, and continuously improving team culture while identifying and developing future leaders through mentoring and succession planning.
Build and strengthen workforce capabilities across in-house solutions, niche SaaS platforms, and core ERP technologies.
Identify capability and skill gaps and lead upskilling, cross-skilling, resource planning, and workforce development initiatives.
Partner with Competence Managers, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, the Area Tech Manager, Talent Acquisition, and People Partners on hiring, workforce planning, and talent development.
Balance delivery requirements, employee growth, resource needs, and sustainable workloads when planning workforce capabilities.
Collaborate with Finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support business outcomes across finance, accounting, treasury, and controlling.
Represent the people and competence perspective in organizational planning, prioritization, and strategic discussions.

Requirements

Experience in software engineering, application expertise, SAP application expertise, or a related technology discipline supporting Finance capabilities.
Previous experience in people leadership, coaching, mentoring, or formal staff management responsibilities.
SAP Finance expertise, ideally including SAP S/4HANA, is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, develop individuals, and create an inclusive and supportive team environment.
Experience with workforce planning, resource management, capability development, and succession planning.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
A strategic, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach, combined with strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
