Project & Program ManagementPortfolio Manager

The Customer Portfolio Manager will oversee strategic customer relationships, contract performance, and service delivery within the gas power generation industry. This role is responsible for managing the profitability and growth of an assigned customer portfolio while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and contractual compliance. Acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal service teams, you will coordinate maintenance planning, outage execution, parts management, and technical support activities. You will collaborate with engineering, field services, repair operations, and commercial teams to deliver reliable solutions and maximize the value of service agreements. The position combines customer relationship management, financial accountability, contract administration, and business development in a dynamic operational environment. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to power plant performance and long-term customer success while supporting the delivery of essential energy services. The role requires an on-site presence at the Midland Cogeneration Venture (MCV) site office from Monday through Friday.

  • Manage customer relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned customer site, maintaining strong relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams while aligning service delivery with business objectives.
  • Drive portfolio profitability and growth: Own the customer portfolio's profit and loss (P&L), identify growth opportunities, and ensure commercial performance supports customer satisfaction and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate customer communication: Develop and maintain a comprehensive customer communication plan, establish regular business reviews, and present relevant products, services, and improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee service agreements and contracts: Manage service agreement, fixed-price, and time-and-materials programs, ensuring contractual obligations, deliverables, terms and conditions, liquidated damages, and bonus structures are properly understood and fulfilled.
  • Manage warranty and commercial considerations: Oversee warranty-related matters, evaluate commercial concessions, and balance customer needs with business profitability and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate outage planning and execution: Work with site support and field service teams to define outage scopes, communicate requirements, coordinate resources, and organize pre-outage, outage milestone, and post-outage meetings.
  • Manage parts planning and orders: Coordinate parts requirements for outage and non-outage activities, prepare and issue quotations, manage customer orders, and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Oversee repair services: Coordinate on-site repairs and component repair activities, including defining repair scopes, requesting quotations, scheduling work, and resolving issues across the service network.
  • Manage financial administration: Oversee customer invoicing, credit memo processing, and related commercial documentation to maintain accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Develop service sales opportunities: Identify, quote, and convert opportunities for parts, field services, leased engines, and other service offerings, managing the process from opportunity identification through order entry and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate digital and plant solutions: Manage digital service agreements and total plant solutions, collaborating with relevant functional teams to deliver integrated customer offerings.
  • Support continuous improvement: Use operational, financial, and customer insights to identify risks, improve service execution, strengthen processes, and enhance overall customer value.
