This is a senior backend engineering opportunity focused on building and evolving products within a fast-paced digital banking environment. You will take ownership of backend services throughout their full lifecycle, from feature conception and implementation to production support and continuous improvement. The role combines Kotlin and Spring development with modern software engineering practices and cloud technologies. You will help solve complex technical challenges, build reliable services, and ensure applications perform effectively at scale. Your work will directly contribute to stable, secure, and high-quality digital experiences for customers. This is an opportunity to collaborate within agile, multidisciplinary teams while contributing to architecture, testing, observability, and production reliability.

Take ownership of developed products throughout their entire lifecycle, from the initial conception of functionality through implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Develop and make backend services available in alignment with product and technical requirements.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, including bugs, incidents, and complex system analyses.
Follow established technical policies, processes, standards, and development guidelines.
Design and implement automated unit, functional, and performance tests according to team practices and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents that may impact customers, contributing to application stability and service continuity.
Instrument applications to enable the collection and analysis of performance information, operational logs, and technical metrics.
Collaborate with agile and multidisciplinary teams to contribute to technical decisions, resolve challenges, and continuously improve development practices.

Requirements

Strong professional experience in backend software development with Kotlin.
Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework and modern backend development practices.
Solid understanding and practical application of TDD, DDD, and Clean Code principles.
Experience working with agile methodologies and frameworks, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure, including SQS and S3.
Strong knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Experience designing and implementing automated unit tests.
Familiarity with Git Flow and collaborative source-code management practices.
Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous software design.
Clear and objective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong teamwork and conflict-resolution abilities within agile and multidisciplinary environments.
Creativity and proactivity in anticipating different application scenarios and identifying effective technical solutions.
Experience with Docker and containerization is a plus.
Experience with JavaScript is advantageous.
Familiarity with the Apigee API management platform is a plus.
