You will also lead implementation and training teams, drive user adoption, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance expectations.
With approximately 50% travel, this opportunity is suited to an experienced implementation leader who thrives in international, regulated, and highly collaborative environments.
As a Global Software Implementation Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for global ELN and LIMS programs, ensuring successful implementations, effective adoption, and consistent delivery standards across regions and business areas.
- Lead global LIMS and ELN implementation programs from initiation through post-go-live stabilization.
- Establish implementation standards, governance frameworks, deployment processes, and best practices.
- Manage program scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, dependencies, and executive reporting.
- Develop and maintain implementation project plans while driving accountability against agreed KPIs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for implementation and training teams.
- Direct organizational change management strategies to support successful system adoption.
- Oversee the development and quality of training materials, standard operating procedures, and adoption resources.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, IT, and software teams to align implementation outcomes with business priorities.
- Manage relationships and coordinate priorities, timelines, and schedules with internal software teams and other stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation activities maintain strong quality and compliance standards within regulated laboratory environments.
- Identify implementation challenges, drive resolution, and maintain momentum across complex international programs.
- Support effective communication and collaboration across multiple geographic regions and time zones.
- Conduct regular on-site visits and provide hands-on leadership during key implementation activities.
- Travel approximately two weeks per month, averaging around 50% overall travel.
- Maintain flexible working hours as needed to participate in meetings and conference calls across different time zones.
Requirements
~2 min readThe role requires proven leadership in enterprise software implementation, strong program management capabilities, experience in laboratory or bioscience environments, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex international organization.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant software implementation leadership experience, ideally involving LIMS, ELN, ERP, or comparable enterprise systems.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a global or international capacity.
- Demonstrated people management and leadership experience.
- Strong project and program management experience with responsibility for complex implementation initiatives.
- Proven software implementation leadership experience from planning through deployment and stabilization.
- Background in bioscience, laboratory operations, or a closely related environment.
- Experience working in regulated environments, including familiarity with requirements such as CFR Part 11 and GMP Annex 11.
- Knowledge or experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- PMP certification is preferred but not required.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate concisely and persuasively.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and lead teams at multiple organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate users, encourage software adoption, and guide teams through organizational change.
- Ability to operate effectively within a complex, international, and cross-functional environment.
- Tenacity and a solutions-oriented mindset when addressing challenges and driving issues through to resolution.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple actions and priorities to completion.
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary to accommodate global meetings and different time zones.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including regular on-site visits.
- Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
