IFS Cloud Migration Tech Lead

We are seeking an experienced IFS/ERP professional to provide technical leadership for a major cloud migration during its critical implementation phase. This temporary, fully remote opportunity focuses on guiding a multidisciplinary team through go-live and post-launch stabilization. You will oversee day-to-day technical execution, coordinate system integration and validation activities, and help ensure the migration stays aligned with project milestones. Working closely with IT leadership, project management, business stakeholders, and external partners, you will resolve technical blockers and manage dependencies. Your expertise will be essential to achieving a successful December go-live and ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing operations. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on a high-priority enterprise technology initiative.
- Lead daily technical execution of the IFS Cloud migration, assigning tasks and coordinating a seven-person team comprising five System Analysts, one Data Analyst, and one System Administrator.
- Direct technical coordination for integration testing, system validation, and cutover planning in preparation for the December go-live milestone.
- Identify, assess, escalate, and help resolve technical risks, issues, and blockers to maintain project timelines and delivery objectives.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, IT Directors, and business stakeholders to align technical activities with project milestones and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and IFS implementation partners to manage dependencies, address technical issues, and support timely delivery.
- Drive go-live readiness activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, system validation, hypercare planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Document technical decisions, system configurations, and migration processes to support knowledge transfer and continuity after the temporary engagement ends.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Required experience with IFS, with a strong preference for hands-on IFS Cloud expertise.
- Experience with IFS Applications 10 (Apps 10) and/or an Apps 10-to-Cloud migration is highly preferred.
- At least 7–8 years of ERP experience, including a minimum of one year leading a large-scale ERP project.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of daily technical direction, coordinate team workloads, and guide a seven-person team through go-live and stabilization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT leadership and business teams.
- Manufacturing industry experience is an advantage.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States without requiring current or future visa sponsorship.
