This is an opportunity for a junior Java developer to contribute to technology projects within the financial services sector.
You’ll work closely with an experienced development team to build reliable, high-quality software aligned with client and business needs.
The role involves backend development with Java and Spring Boot, alongside JavaScript and TypeScript technologies.
You’ll contribute to problem-solving with a systemic mindset, considering both technical requirements and broader business impact.
The position provides exposure to API development, automated testing, databases, version control, and established software engineering practices.
You’ll work in a collaborative environment where code quality, maintainability, and continuous learning are important.
The role is remote within Brazil, with specific office attendance requirements for candidates living in the Campinas metropolitan area.

Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot 3.
Contribute to application development using JavaScript and TypeScript 4+.
Build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs.
Apply established software engineering principles and development practices to produce maintainable and reliable code.
Contribute to automated testing activities to help ensure software quality and reliability.
Investigate and resolve technical problems with an assertive, structured, and systemic approach.
Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with client expectations.
Consider the broader business impact of technical decisions when analysing and solving problems.
Use Git and established development workflows to manage and collaborate on source code.
Work with relational and/or non-relational databases as part of application development.
Contribute to continuous improvements in development practices, code quality, and technical solutions.
Where applicable, support frontend development initiatives and collaborate across the application stack.

Requirements

Professional experience developing applications with Java, including Spring Boot 3.
Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript 4+.
Knowledge of software engineering principles including Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID, KISS, DRY, and YAGNI.
Practical knowledge of automated testing.
Experience using Git for source control and collaborative development.
Knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach technical challenges from a broader systems perspective.
Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams and other stakeholders.
Focus on code quality, maintainability, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously develop technical skills.
Knowledge or experience in frontend development is considered an advantage.
Candidates must be based in Brazil.
Candidates residing in the Campinas metropolitan area should be prepared to attend the local office according to the applicable office attendance policy.
