This is a senior technical leadership opportunity focused on designing and delivering enterprise-grade integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
You will lead complex integration initiatives across Mule 4, CloudHub 2.0, APIs, DataWeave transformations, and reusable integration components.
The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural decision-making, code quality, technical guidance, and team mentorship.
You will work across development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
A strong focus on API-led connectivity, security, performance, automation, and integration best practices will be central to your impact.
The position offers exposure to complex enterprise environments while requiring close collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
This is a fully remote, 9-month contract role requiring availability during US working hours and strong Spanish and English communication skills.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise integration solutions using Mule 4, the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, and CloudHub 2.0.
  • Design and develop APIs, integration flows, reusable components, and sophisticated DataWeave transformations to support complex business and technical requirements.
  • Apply API-led connectivity principles, integration patterns, microservices concepts, and MuleSoft best practices consistently across solutions.
  • Design and implement APIs using RAML or OAS and develop REST- and SOAP-based integrations across enterprise systems.
  • Perform code reviews, establish and enforce development standards, and provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to other developers.
  • Deploy and manage Mule applications across CloudHub environments, supporting reliable application lifecycle management and CI/CD-based deployments.
  • Troubleshoot complex development and production issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions that improve performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Ensure integration solutions meet applicable security, API design, development, and architectural requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide client support in Spanish and English.

Requirements

  • Approximately 12 years of overall IT experience, including at least 9 years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience and significant expertise with Mule 4.
  • Strong proficiency with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, APIKit, and MuleSoft connectors.
  • Hands-on experience with HTTP/HTTPS, Salesforce, database, Anypoint MQ, and other commonly used integration connectors.
  • Strong API design and development experience using RAML and/or OAS.
  • Extensive experience deploying applications to CloudHub and managing the Mule application lifecycle.
  • Advanced DataWeave skills, including complex data transformation, mapping, and processing.
  • Solid understanding of REST and SOAP web services, API-led connectivity, integration patterns, and microservices.
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, Maven, and DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint MQ, application security, and network security is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively during US working hours.
  • Fluent Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively and support client needs in both languages.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) certification is mandatory.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 2 (Mule 4) certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
