The role is responsible for analyzing cybersecurity solutions, supporting transformation initiatives, and translating complex technical challenges into effective recommendations. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate, collaborate on, or execute cybersecurity solution assessments for OT environments.
- Contribute to cybersecurity design and engineering projects involving OT networks and SCADA/DMS systems for electric-sector clients.
- Participate in or coordinate technical field assessments, including visits to data centers, control centers, and substations.
- Perform OT asset inventories, architecture assessments, and reviews of industrial communication networks.
- Develop cybersecurity architecture proposals, OT network segmentation strategies, technology recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
- Produce technical reports, project deliverables, and executive presentations for technical and management stakeholders.
- Structure client challenges and work with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions.
- Support consulting and problem-solving projects within the cybersecurity domain and broader business transformation initiatives.
- Travel and work on-site with clients when necessary to gather information and coordinate activities.
- Map automation and software solution requirements and support technology teams in delivering effective solutions.
- Conduct structured interviews with technical teams and prepare client-facing reports and presentations.
- Read and interpret engineering, construction, maintenance, reliability, and regulatory reports related to the electric sector.
- Assess opportunities to improve projects, services, systems, processes, and business structures.
- Engage with stakeholders across technical, business, and management perspectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and global teams to build innovative solutions for clients.
Requirements
~1 min readThe ideal candidate combines hands-on OT cybersecurity knowledge with strong consulting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management capabilities. The role requires a relevant technical degree, advanced English, and experience working with cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives.
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in OT cybersecurity.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, NERC-CIP, and NIST SP 800-82.
- Knowledge of OT/IT cybersecurity software, industrial network architectures, segmentation technologies, and cybersecurity controls.
- Knowledge of SCADA, DMS, OMS, and electric grid operations.
- Experience with OT cybersecurity in the electric sector, including distribution, transmission, or generation, is a plus.
- OT cybersecurity certification, preferably ISA/IEC 62443; GICSP, GRID, GCIP, or another recognized OT cybersecurity certification is also accepted.
- CISSP, CISM, or comparable cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
- Previous consulting experience is desirable.
- Experience with IT transformation projects or digitalization initiatives.
- Advanced English proficiency in written and spoken communication, including the ability to conduct technical working meetings in English.
- Advanced Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary, collaborative, and global environments.
