This remote role supports the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects within the nuclear energy sector. You will provide project controls expertise across cost management, scheduling, resource planning, earned value, reporting, and project performance tracking. Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and compliance requirements. The role combines analytical problem-solving with hands-on coordination and project reporting. You will contribute to improving project visibility, identifying performance trends, and supporting informed management decisions. Approximately 25% travel to client sites is expected, making this an opportunity to combine remote flexibility with meaningful client and project engagement.
- Support project planning, execution, monitoring, and completion throughout the project management lifecycle.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost control systems that provide accurate financial information to project and company management.
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Implement and maintain Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) across assigned projects.
- Analyze cost and schedule performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and areas requiring attention.
- Provide analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making support to Project Managers and project teams.
- Coordinate the development of project resource schedules in alignment with project requirements and milestones.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure monitoring and reporting accurately reflects current project status.
- Gather and coordinate information from project team members and reporting sources to establish project plans, checkpoints, processes, financial metrics, and milestone requirements.
- Support internal project management processes and initiatives designed to promote quality and effective project execution.
- Provide project controls support and administrative coordination across multiple projects as required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of project controls experience, preferably within nuclear engineering, nuclear energy, or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of cost and schedule management principles.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency with Power BI and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work independently while providing effective project and administrative support to broader teams.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- PMI certification or knowledge of project management principles is preferred.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug and alcohol test in accordance with applicable federal regulations and comply with random testing requirements as a condition of employment.
- U.S.-based availability and willingness to travel approximately 25% to client sites as needed.
