This role offers the opportunity to lead complex software engineering initiatives within a global financial technology environment. As Senior Manager, you will oversee multiple development efforts spanning web services, software deployment, middleware, databases, and partner framework integrations. You will guide Agile teams while shaping technical roadmaps, architecture, engineering standards, and delivery plans. A key focus will be modernizing transaction monitoring and sanctions screening systems supporting high-volume payment, AML, and foreign exchange operations. You will combine technical leadership with hands-on involvement across the full software development lifecycle. The position is fully remote within the U.S., with broad responsibility for delivering scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions.

Lead and oversee complex software development initiatives involving web services, software deployment, middleware, and partner framework integrations.
Establish project objectives, technical policies, procedures, roadmaps, work plans, and delivery priorities while coordinating multiple development efforts.
Lead Agile sprint teams through planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery of software features aligned with business and technical requirements.
Oversee software and system architecture, requirements definition, technical design, and modernization initiatives.
Direct modernization efforts for transaction monitoring and sanctions screening systems, including the design and implementation of models and standardized procedures for high-volume payment, AML, and foreign exchange operations.
Evaluate and adapt technical methods and procedures for new projects, ensuring consistent and effective execution across teams.
Contribute to full-cycle web application and middleware development, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Oversee database retrieval strategies and develop data migration plans supporting system upgrades, integrations, and modernization efforts.
Coordinate technical dependencies and delegate responsibilities across project teams to maintain delivery momentum and quality.
Promote effective engineering practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and structured software development lifecycle processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field with 8 years of experience in a related occupation; alternatively, a Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience may be accepted.
Experience with project planning tools such as Smartsheet.
Strong database design experience using both SQL and NoSQL technologies, including SQL Server and Oracle.
Professional experience with C# and .NET Core.
Familiarity with ETL technologies such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
Experience with analytics and reporting platforms such as BusinessObjects, QlikView, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Strong understanding of test-driven development and CI/CD software engineering practices.
Experience working with Waterfall, Scrum, and Agile methodologies, practices, and tools.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience using code version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Strong technical leadership, project coordination, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple development teams and manage complex technical initiatives in a structured environment.
Strong understanding of modern software architecture, application development, databases, integrations, and system modernization.
