Strong communication will be essential as you bridge the gap between non-technical clients, engineering teams, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
You will also contribute to the development of AI services and continuously monitor emerging technologies to keep client recommendations current.
This is a fully remote U.S. position with a salary range of $125,000–$145,000 annually and limited company-funded travel as needed.
As a Senior Strategy Consultant-HC, you will take leadership roles across complex strategy and AI transformation projects, guiding clients from initial discovery through recommendations and implementation planning. You will combine strategic thinking with practical execution while helping internal teams and clients turn emerging AI capabilities into valuable solutions.
- Lead and contribute to strategy projects involving artificial intelligence, technology transformation, and organizational change.
- Gather client requirements and develop a clear understanding of business strategies, operational processes, challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Research AI solutions and evaluate their suitability based on client needs, organizational capacity, and strategic goals.
- Conduct fit-gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and determine where AI-enabled solutions can provide meaningful value.
- Map current and future processes and develop change and implementation roadmaps.
- Facilitate decision-making sessions and guide clients toward practical, well-supported technology and AI recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver clear analyses, recommendations, requirements, and strategic documentation.
- Translate client requirements into structured specifications that engineering teams can use to develop AI agents, bots, and other AI-enabled solutions.
- Act as a bridge between clients and technical teams, ensuring business requirements and technical constraints are clearly understood on both sides.
- Explain complex AI concepts, technical terminology, and engineering considerations in concise, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, vendors, partners, and project teams regarding progress, priorities, risks, timelines, scope, and emerging issues.
- Navigate organizational dynamics, stakeholder challenges, and vendor or partner considerations while maintaining progress toward project objectives.
- Contribute to internal AI initiatives, knowledge-sharing efforts, use-case development, and lessons learned.
- Continuously research AI technologies, market developments, and emerging trends affecting business and nonprofit organizations.
Requirements
~2 min readThe role requires a strong combination of nonprofit or higher education sector knowledge, AI expertise, technology consulting experience, and the ability to lead complex transformation initiatives. You should be comfortable working directly with clients, managing multiple priorities, and translating sophisticated technical concepts into practical business recommendations.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience within the nonprofit or higher education sector, combined with experience in an AI-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of AI solutions and tools, including experience with Anthropic's product suite.
- Genuine interest in continuously learning about developments across the AI technology landscape.
- Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, or managing technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience planning, leading, managing, and implementing organizational or technology change.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts and terminology into concise, clear, actionable language for non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while consistently meeting deadlines, priorities, and client expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess processes, identify gaps, and develop practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing consulting environments.
- Strong stakeholder-management and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively across clients, engineering teams, vendors, partners, and internal project teams.
- Adaptability and sound judgment when navigating organizational culture, stakeholder dynamics, and project obstacles.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high-quality delivery and consistent communication.
- Willingness to work during regular Monday–Friday business hours within one of the four continental U.S. time zones.
- Ability to travel occasionally for annual staff activities, client on-sites, meetings, or conferences.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
