Software Engineers: Feedback on AI Coding Tools

This is a paid, remote research opportunity focused on how software engineers use AI-assisted coding tools in real-world development workflows.
You’ll participate in a video interview where you can share your practical experiences with modern coding assistants.
The discussion will explore how AI tools support coding, debugging, productivity, and everyday engineering tasks.
You’ll compare tools and models you have used and discuss their strengths, limitations, and reliability.
Your feedback will contribute to research into the evolving role of AI in software development.
The study welcomes engineers across backend, frontend, full-stack, and mobile development environments.
The engagement is designed to be straightforward, flexible, and focused on your firsthand technical experience.

• Currently active as a software engineer, software developer, technical lead, or in a closely related hands-on engineering role.

• Hands-on experience using modern AI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools.

• Comfortable actively writing and reviewing software code as part of your professional or substantial technical work.

• Ability to clearly explain technical workflows, development practices, debugging approaches, and experiences with AI-generated code.

• Willingness to discuss both the benefits and limitations of AI-assisted software development based on firsthand experience.

• Experience in backend, frontend, full-stack, mobile, or other software engineering disciplines is welcome across technology stacks.

• Comfortable participating in a remote video conversation and sharing relevant examples from your development workflow.
