This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, product, data, and technology, with ownership of a meaningful domain of company performance. You will diagnose complex business problems, shape strategic roadmaps, and lead initiatives through to measurable operational results. Working closely with executives, Finance, Operations, Product, Data Engineering, and AI teams, you will turn ambiguous challenges into structured decisions and durable solutions. The role combines analytical depth with hands-on operating leadership, requiring you to stay close to both the data and the people implementing change. You will lead a team of three to four professionals while developing management systems, standards, and talent that scale beyond individual projects. As a fully remote leader, you will have significant autonomy and direct exposure to executive decision-making.

Own a domain of company performance, including diagnosis, strategic roadmap, realized value, and the executive relationship associated with it.
Frame complex or undefined business problems and translate executive concerns into structured, decision-ready agendas.
Lead priority setting across Strategy & Operations and adjacent operating teams, balancing competing executive demands and resolving conflicts effectively.
Establish analytical standards and serve as a trusted point of reference when Finance and executive stakeholders need to reconcile or arbitrate competing numbers.
Facilitate executive discussions that move organizations from analysis and debate toward clear decisions and aligned action.
Build management rhythms, operating cadences, systems, documentation, and standards designed to remain effective beyond individual projects.
Take accountability for the realized value of a portfolio and communicate outcomes and attribution credibly to executive leadership.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of three to four people, including Managers, while building leadership capacity and addressing challenging performance or development situations.
Lead hiring for the function and contribute to the team's operating model, standards, and culture.
Translate frontline operational needs into clear requirements for Product, Data Engineering, and AI teams, ensuring technology investments address genuine business needs.
Establish rigorous frameworks for evaluating AI investments and adoption based on measurable business cases and operational value.
Remain hands-on when business stakes require it, contributing directly to analytical models, strategic memos, working sessions, and critical problem-solving.
Drive initiatives through implementation and adoption rather than stopping at recommendations, ensuring strategic work produces measurable and durable operational change.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Economics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
7–9 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, product development, or a combination of these areas.
Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-level, cross-functional programs with measurable business outcomes.
Proven experience managing and developing teams, including professionals who manage others or independently lead major workstreams.
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives as well as frontline operational teams.
Deep analytical and technical fluency, including tools such as Excel, Python, and SQL.
Ability to reason effectively about platforms, automation, AI, and agentic AI technologies and assess which investments are likely to create meaningful business value.
Track record of succeeding in ambiguous environments where problems and solutions are not fully defined in advance.
Strong business judgment and a focus on creating durable operating improvements rather than one-time analytical outputs.
Ability to operate as a player-coach, remaining hands-on while leading and developing others.
Experience leading strategy or platform initiatives within a product organization, product strategy, product operations, or a Strategy & Operations function with meaningful product or platform ownership is strongly preferred.
Technical background, such as a computer science or engineering degree or early-career software development experience, is beneficial.
Management consulting experience is an asset, particularly when combined with subsequent operating or product experience.
MBA or comparable advanced achievement is a plus.
Familiarity with healthcare, logistics, transportation, marketplaces, or regulated operating environments is beneficial.
