As a Technology Project Manager, you will lead high-visibility technology initiatives within a complex and highly regulated financial services environment. You will oversee project planning, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resources, and delivery activities across multiple teams. The role requires a strong understanding of both business and technology project delivery without requiring deep hands-on engineering expertise. You will coordinate business and technology stakeholders through planning, testing, implementation, and release. Success will depend on clear communication, structured execution, and the ability to adapt priorities as requirements evolve. This remote contract opportunity is well suited to an experienced project leader comfortable operating in highly matrixed organizations.

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering schedules, milestones, scope, resource requirements, dependencies, and critical-path activities.
Lead technology projects through planning, implementation, testing, release, and final delivery.
Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, actions, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate business and technology resources across multiple teams within a highly matrixed organization.
Proactively identify cross-project dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Manage project status, metrics, change control, quality assurance and testing coordination, and implementation activities.
Partner with business leaders, technology teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress, risks, issues, decisions, and priorities to stakeholders and leadership.
Adapt project plans and priorities as business and technology requirements change.
Build strong relationships across project teams and foster a collaborative delivery environment.
Support cloud and other technology initiatives at the project-management level, coordinating effectively with technical teams without requiring deep engineering expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
5–7+ years of technology project management experience; candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
Financial services experience is strongly preferred, particularly within banking, payments, capital markets, or related environments.
Experience managing technology and/or cloud-related projects.
Proven ability to manage schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, scope, resources, and project delivery.
Experience successfully delivering complex, full-lifecycle technology projects.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.
Strong experience working within matrixed organizations involving multiple business and technology teams.
Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives is preferred.
Understanding of DevOps and continuous testing concepts is advantageous; deep hands-on DevOps expertise is not required.
PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar project management or Agile certification is preferred.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, time-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and leadership audiences.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative teams.
Comfortable facilitating meetings and leading discussions with large groups.
Must satisfy applicable U.S. work authorization and residency requirements and successfully complete required background and security screening.
