As a Trust & Safety Product Manager, you will own the product and technical delivery of safety and compliance initiatives across AI-powered consumer platforms. You will translate legal requirements, safety policies, incident findings, and user feedback into practical product features, safeguards, and measurable improvements. Working closely with Engineering, AI/ML, Compliance, Product, and Customer Support teams, you will help identify risks early and build safety into the product lifecycle. You will oversee moderation capabilities, third-party integrations, monitoring frameworks, red teaming, and safety reviews for new features. This newly created role offers substantial ownership and the opportunity to shape the development of a dedicated Trust & Safety product function. You will work in a fast-moving, fully remote environment where thoughtful judgment, experimentation, and strong execution are highly valued.

Define and deliver product initiatives that translate safety policies, legal requirements, incident findings, and user feedback into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and engineering work.
Drive safety initiatives from problem definition and planning through implementation, testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
Own product improvements for internally developed moderation technologies, including LLM-based moderation and AI guardrails.
Partner with Engineering and AI/ML teams to improve detection capabilities, moderation rules, thresholds, and interventions across user inputs and AI-generated outputs.
Lead the product and technical lifecycle of third-party Trust & Safety partnerships, including identifying needs, evaluating providers, managing integrations, testing, rollout, and performance monitoring.
Establish dashboards, quality-assurance processes, and recurring monitoring to identify emerging risks and measure the effectiveness of safety controls.
Own red teaming and adversarial testing for moderation systems and product safeguards, including tracking findings through remediation, retesting, and closure.
Establish and manage Trust & Safety reviews for new features and material changes to existing products, models, and integrations.
Assess foreseeable misuse, affected users, and appropriate safeguards early in the product design process.
Coordinate product and engineering responses to significant safety incidents in collaboration with policy, compliance, incident management, and support teams.
Use data, experiments, user research, and product metrics to evaluate outcomes and guide future safety improvements.
Act as a key point of contact for external safety and compliance technology providers and manage relevant integrations autonomously.

Requirements

Proven experience in product management, Trust & Safety, compliance, safety technology, or a closely related product environment.
Strong understanding of content moderation and AI guardrails, including the interaction between automation, machine learning, human review, and user reporting.
Experience translating legal, regulatory, ethical, or safety requirements into practical product requirements and technical solutions.
Familiarity with risks associated with user-generated content, transactions, and digital interactions on consumer-facing platforms.
Demonstrated ability to define meaningful metrics, analyze product performance, and use A/B testing, experiments, data analysis, or user research to inform product decisions.
Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, AI/ML, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Customer Support teams.
Strong understanding of product development and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership of outcomes without waiting for complete specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues, challenge assumptions constructively, identify blockers, and drive solutions through completion.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluent professional English.
High level of AI fluency and enthusiasm for experimenting with new AI tools, technologies, and workflows.
Ability to independently manage discussions, evaluations, and implementations involving third-party tools and integrations.
Comfortable working with uncensored AI models and content, including reviewing and discussing sensitive or NSFW material as part of Trust & Safety responsibilities.
A background in legal or compliance education is a plus.
Professional experience or demonstrated interest in AI is advantageous.
Experience with consumer-facing products, particularly in entertainment or gaming, is a plus.
