CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team in Albany, NY, where you will play a key role in month-end close activities, financial analysis, and cash reporting. This position offers the opportunity to refine your technical skillset, collaborate across teams, and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

• →Perform detailed cost and financial analysis to support accurate reporting and decision-making
• →Prepare standard monthly journal entries and assist with the month-end closing process
• →Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• →Maintain fixed asset schedules, including depreciation tracking and related entries
• →Support daily cash reporting and assist with treasury management activities
• →Provide backup support for cash control and accounts payable functions
• →Review financial documentation for accurate general ledger coding and alignment with budget requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience required
• Familiarity with GAAP and foundational accounting principles
• Experience in a consulting or engineering environment preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office software required; experience with Deltek preferred
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively
• Professional integrity and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
