Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for projects located in or around DeSoto County, MS. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $40-$60/hour based on experience plus $160/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. - Install, terminate, test, and commission medium-voltage electrical systems operating at 12.47 kV, 13.8 kV, and 34.5 kV
- Install e-house medium-voltage switchgear (MVSG), generator step-up transformers (GSUs), medium-voltage cable, duct bank, and associated control wiring
- Pull, rack, land, and terminate 15 kV and 35 kV cable using approved terminations and stress cones
- Install medium-voltage duct banks, manholes, raceways, and underground distribution systems
- Support hipot, VLF, insulation-resistance, and related testing procedures
- Work adjacent to energized medium-voltage systems while following switching orders, clearances, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Read and interpret one-line diagrams, cable schedules, termination drawings, and electrical blueprints
- Prepare as-built drawings, testing documentation, and commissioning records
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, commissioning teams, and operations personnel
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910.269, and all project safety requirements
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide field feedback to improve designs
- Travel to project locations as construction schedules and project demands require
Requirements

- Experience installing and terminating 15 kV and/or 35 kV cable
- Experience installing medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, GSUs, and related equipment
- Ability to read medium-voltage one-line diagrams, cable schedules, and termination drawings
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910.269, lockout/tagout procedures, switching operations, and electrical clearances
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments while wearing required PPE
- Ability to travel 80% or more as required by project needs
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and extended shifts during construction and commissioning phases
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Manufacturer terminator qualification cards for 15 kV and/or 35 kV systems
- State Journeyman Electrician License
- Lineman or Substation qualifications
- Data center or industrial campus medium-voltage construction experience
- Experience working around energized 15 kV and 35 kV systems
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Additional NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.269 training
