Performing critical work that impacts our industry and our world’s health while problem solving and innovating in the field – that is what we get to do every day at KCAS Bio. If that gets you excited too, then maybe working at KCAS Bio is for you.

When you work as a Scientific Report Writer supporting the Mass Spectrometry Bioanalysis team at KCAS, you get to further our mission by independently coordinating the preparation, review, and finalization of scientific data and reports generated from bioanalytical studies. As a senior member of the team, you will work directly with scientists and study teams to manage complex reporting activities, ensure the accuracy and consistency of study deliverables, resolve reporting issues, and provide guidance to less experienced Report Coordinators.

You will work alongside our scientific teams to help transform complex study data and scientific information into accurate, consistent, and high-quality study reports.

Our Mass Spectrometry Bioanalysis team uses LCMS (Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) techniques to conduct bioanalytical testing in support of drug discovery, preclinical, and clinical studies, including the quantification of drugs, metabolites, biomarkers, and other target analytes in biological matrices.

  • Independently coordinate the preparation, review, assembly, and finalization of complex scientific reports for Mass Spectrometry Bioanalysis studies
  • Prepare report sections and import, format, review, and validate scientific data tables and other study information
  • Perform detailed review of reports for technical accuracy, data consistency, formatting, and compliance with study protocols, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between study data, tables, documentation, and reports in collaboration with scientists and study teams
  • Coordinate reporting requirements, revisions, timelines, and finalization directly with scientists and other stakeholders while managing multiple reports and competing priorities
  • Support Quality Assurance review and facilitate timely resolution of report-related findings or questions
  • Serve as a reporting resource to scientists and study teams and provide training, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced Report Coordinators
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting templates, SOPs, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality
  • Perform all aspects of the job in a way that supports company brand and supports company mission, vision, and values
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, chemistry, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • At least 5 years of related experience in scientific reporting, technical documentation, scientific data presentation, data review, or a related area
  • Demonstrated experience independently preparing, reviewing, and finalizing complex scientific or technical reports
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience working with scientific data or reporting systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies within scientific data, tables, and reports
  • Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple reports, priorities, and deadlines while collaborating effectively with scientists and cross-functional teams
  • Experience providing training, guidance, or mentorship to less experienced team members
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environment preferred
  • Mass Spectrometry Bioanalysis or LC-MS/MS experience is a plus
