Description

  

The Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s treasury operations across multiple port terminal entities, ensuring effective cash management, liquidity planning, and banking coordination to support large-scale operational and capital investments. This role will manage daily cash positioning, working capital optimization, and financial risk management while partnering closely with Accounting, FP&A, and terminal leadership.


Operating in a fast-paced logistics and maritime environment, the Treasury Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, supporting capital projects, and ensuring sufficient liquidity to support terminal operations, equipment investments, and infrastructure development.

Requirements

  

  • Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity across multiple terminal entities and operating accounts.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts to support operational and capital planning.
  • Optimize working capital and cash utilization  across the organization.
  • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions supporting the company’s operations.
  • Oversee bank account structures, treasury services, and payment platforms across multiple entities.
  • Evaluate banking services, negotiate fees, and ensure efficient treasury operations.
  • Monitor credit facilities, loan agreements, and financial covenants.
  • Coordinate reporting requirements with lenders and support compliance with debt agreements.
  • Assist leadership with capital planning and financing strategies to support terminal expansion, infrastructure investment, and equipment purchases.
  • Monitor and manage liquidity, interest rate, and financial risks.
  • Support strategies related to foreign exchange exposure if applicable to international shipping operations.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and terminal leadership to align treasury strategy with operational needs.
  • Support financial planning related to terminal operations, container throughput, and capital equipment investments.
  • Assist with cash reporting and financial analysis for senior leadership.
  • Maintain strong internal controls around cash management, payments, and banking access.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within treasury operations.
  • Assist in the implementation or optimization of treasury management systems and banking platforms.

  

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Highly developed leadership and communication skills 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Strategic financial planning and liquidity management 
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data from different sources into actionable information
  • Solid professional experience in a global corporation and/or public accounting
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel (Pivot tables, complex formulas), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently 
  • Strong attention to detail 


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of treasury, finance, or banking experience, preferably within logistics, transportation, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries.
  • Strong experience managing cash operations and banking relationships in a multi-entity environment.
  • Knowledge of debt management, credit facilities, and covenant reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with ERP systems and treasury management platforms.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, lift and small carry parcels, packages, and other items
