At Key Media, you’ll lead the commercial success of a flagship portfolio of events across North America and the UK—driving sponsorship revenue while shaping the strategy, structure, and performance of our event sales function.

About the Opportunity
This is a senior, high‑impact commercial leadership role for an experienced event sales professional who thrives on both winning business and building high‑performing teams.
You’ll own a portfolio of strategic sponsorship accounts while also leading and developing a team of event sales professionals across North America and the UK. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll shape go‑to‑market strategies, refine sponsorship offerings, and drive revenue growth across a diverse portfolio of events.
You’ll have the autonomy to:
- Lead sponsorship revenue generation across a portfolio of large‑scale B2B events in North America and the UK
- Own and grow relationships with Tier 1 technology, AI, and emerging tech brands
- Drive commercial strategy across events, including packaging, pricing, and market positioning
- Provide coaching, structure, and direction to a team of event sales professionals
- Identify new growth opportunities across existing and future event portfolios
- Act as the key commercial partner to internal teams across production, marketing, content, and operations

What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving end‑to‑end sponsorship sales, from prospecting through to closing and post‑event review
- Building and managing a portfolio of high‑value strategic accounts across tech and AI sectors
- Leading and mentoring event sales reps across the NA/UK region through coaching and best‑practice frameworks
- Overseeing day‑to‑day pipeline health, deal progression, and sales activity using CRM
- Standardising sales processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and performance across the team
- Partnering with event, marketing, and content teams to deliver compelling, market‑leading sponsorship propositions
- Delivering post‑event reporting, sponsor debriefs, and internal performance insights
- Contributing to quarterly and annual commercial planning and revenue strategy
CRM & Performance Leadership
- Reviewing CRM performance daily, ensuring pipeline accuracy and strong activity levels across the team
- Proactively addressing stalled deals, gaps in activity, and pipeline risks
- Tracking and reporting on key metrics including revenue, pipeline coverage, deal velocity, and renewal rates
- Driving accountability, discipline, and data‑led decision making across the sales function
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
5+ years of proven success in event sponsorship, media sales, or B2B commercial roles, with experience managing high‑value deals and senior stakeholders
Leadership:
Experience mentoring or managing sales professionals, with a passion for coaching and building high‑performing teams
Commercial Strength:
Strong track record of driving revenue growth, developing strategic accounts, and owning complex sales cycles
Industry Knowledge:
Experience working with technology, AI, or innovation‑led sectors is highly desirable
Communication:
Confident engaging with senior decision‑makers and influencing both clients and internal stakeholders
Data & Process:
Highly organised, with strong CRM discipline and a data‑driven approach to performance management
Mindset:
Ambitious, strategic, and hands‑on—equally comfortable closing deals and leading from the front
