Join Keystone Solutions as a consultant on a client engagement to deliver Solution Architecture within a large-scale customer-facing IT landscape. The mission focuses on a Future Proof Passenger Information (FPPI) program environment, covering commercial channels and products, passenger information systems, and systems for stations, facilities, and buildings. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will define solution architectures, bridge stakeholders, and guide teams to make conscious decisions with clear trade-offs and risks, ensuring the solution evolves in line with business guardrails.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →As a Keystone Solutions consultant, it is your responsibility to ensure that the architecture of the products you're assigned to is sound, well-understood and continues to evolve in a direction that best support the business case and follows the existing guardrails.
- →To a great extent, that means facilitating the architectural debate, ensuring the architectural decisions are made consciously and its trade-offs (or derived risks) are well understood, both internally (towards the involved teams) as externally (towards our client's stakeholders).
- →You're a key partner that works between business stakeholders, IT managers, enterprise architects, domain architects and delivery teams.
- →You ensure that the solution architecture is correctly implemented by validating the solution design and following up its implementation.
- →You also ensure knowledge is shared across your colleagues.
- →You evaluate project constrains to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform re-engineering if required.
- →You update stakeholders about any issues connected to the architecture.
- →You take care of the architectural analysis of epics.
- Customer Experience Solution is responsible for customer-facing IT systems of our client, including commercial channels and products, passenger information systems and systems for stations, facilities and buildings.
- As a solution architect you are responsible to define solution architectures in the FPPI program.
- You have the ability to grasp the complexity associated with large scale systems, and break it down into simpler, understandable bits towards both engineers as well as business stakeholders.
- You're able to facilitate the architectural processes, identifying desired qualities and constraints, ensuring risks and trade-offs are discussed within the team(s) and guiding business and IT management to take informed decisions.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch or French (spoken and written), at least level C1
- You communicate fluently in English (spoken and written), at least level B2
- Willing to work on-site up to 5 days per week in Brussels, if required
- Minimum 10 year of experience as a software architect (solution, integration or application), demonstrated in the CV.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the railway industry.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience with API managers and API gateways.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in integration architecture
- Certified for Archimate (minimum foundation level)
- Certified for Open Agile Architecture.
- Level of experience with Kafka, Azure Cloud and event-driven architectures (number of projects, role, responsibilities)
- Experience in API design using Swagger/OpenAPI (number of APIs designed, role, complexity)
- Proficiency in UML and ArchiMate modeling (types of diagrams, use in projects, role)
- Depth and relevance of architectural experience in similar environments (scope, technologies, role, duration)
- Consultancy Nature of Work: Operate as a Keystone Solutions consultant, collaborating closely with client stakeholders and delivery teams. Expect on-site work at client locations, including up to 5 days per week in Brussels when required.

- Apply your architecture leadership to a Future Proof Passenger Information program while operating under Keystone Solutions' consultancy model, ensuring robust, evolutive architectures and clear decision-making with documented risks and trade-offs.
- Leverage your integration, API management, and event-driven experience to guide solution design and verify implementation quality across multiple interfacing systems and teams.
- Brussels on-site presence up to 5 days per week as required by the client engagement.
- Dutch or French at C1 level; English at B2 level.
- Archimate (minimum foundation level) and Open Agile Architecture certifications.
- Minimum 10 years as a software architect (solution, integration, or application), with at least 4 years in the railway industry.
- Minimum 5 years with API managers and API gateways, and 5 years in integration architecture.
- Experience and evaluation based on Kafka, Azure Cloud, event-driven architecture, Swagger/OpenAPI, UML, and ArchiMate modeling.
