About the Role
As a KidStrong Assistant General Manager, you're second in command at the center. You'll partner with the General Manager to build a culture of learning and growth for coaches and families, and you'll help drive sales and member retention. You'll coach classes each week, run the center as manager on duty when the GM is off, and make sure every kid, family and team member has an exceptional experience. You're welcoming, energetic and goal-oriented, and you're comfortable turning great conversations with parents into memberships.

What You'll Do

*Coaching (about 5–10 hours per week)*
- Coach kids from crawling to about 11 years old, using our curriculum focused on brain, physical and character development.
- Work hands-on with kids to make sure they use proper technique and stay safe.
- Understand and clearly explain the "why" behind the KidStrong curriculum.
- Demonstrate and help roll out new programming and curriculum elements.

Sales Support

- Support the GM in hitting center sales and membership goals.
- Turn trial classes and parent conversations into memberships.
- Finalize sales and bookings that come in through online self-sign-up.
- Schedule and sell camps, birthday parties and other events.
- Attend local events to build brand awareness and generate new leads.

Center Operations
- Know your center's KPIs and financials, and use them to make smart business decisions.
- Build strong relationships with KidStrong families, rooted in our core values and great customer service.
- Help oversee center initiatives such as maintenance, training and brand consistency.
- Keep the center clean and well maintained, with daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
- Communicate coach schedule changes using our scheduling and communication tools.

Leadership
- Serve as manager on duty when the General Manager is off.
- Build a coaching culture where everyone gives and receives feedback openly.
- Evaluate and document coach performance using the KidStrong Coach DNA profile and class quality standards.
- Partner with the GM on onboarding, training and evaluating new coaches.
- Support ongoing staff development through LearnUpon.
- Communicate professionally on Slack and email, including checking messages periodically when you're not in the center.

What You Bring
- Confidence talking with parents and guardians, including about memberships and programs.
- Customer service or sales experience is a strong plus.
- Management experience is preferred but not required.
- CPR certification, or willingness to get certified within 30 days.

Schedule and Physical Requirements
- Typically 4 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift, with hours based on center needs.
- This is an active role: you may cover several miles per shift and repeatedly lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds.

- Natural leader: You take initiative, lead by example and help shape the culture.
- Goal-oriented: You stay focused on KidStrong's goals, including sales and retention, and perform at a high level.
- Teacher and mentor: You share knowledge, develop others and keep growing yourself.
- Professional: You're tactful, calm under pressure and respectful, you own your actions, and you follow through.
- Performer: You're engaging, fun, high-energy and easy to understand, on the floor and with parents.
- Organized: You prioritize, plan realistically and use your time well.
- Strong communicator: You speak and write clearly, listen well, and present with confidence.
- Team-first: You stay open to other views, build morale and put the team's success first.
