Estimating Manager-Mechanical Construction

Their work spans commercial HVAC construction across the New York metro area including tenant fit-outs, hotels, entertainment venues, retail spaces, and more, with most projects located in New York City. Hiring for an Estimating Manager to lead the estimating team. Responsible to independently prepare detailed estimates for commercial HVAC construction projects, ranging from small scopes to large-scale jobs, develop proposals, cost breakdowns and participate in pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to assess field conditions firsthand.

• A degree in engineering or construction related discipline is a plus, but not required.
• 8+ years of prior Estimating experience for a commercial mechanical subcontractor.
• Genuine interest in learning and improving from the people around you and on your own.
• Comfort with Excel and standard office tools; familiarity with estimating software or openness to learning it is a plus.
