KLS Earthworks & Environmental is looking for hardworking and reliable Construction Laborers to join our field crews in Calgary and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do

• Assist operators, supervisors, and other crew members with daily site activities.
• Dig ditches and trenches and assist with backfilling, compacting, and leveling earth.
• Use hand tools including shovels, rakes, picks, and other construction tools.
• Assist with site preparation, grading, cleanup, and general labour duties.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, trucks, excavations, and active construction areas.
• Assist with spotting equipment and traffic control/flagging when required.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and supplies.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow site-specific safety procedures and direction from supervisors.
• Assist with other duties as required to support the crew and project.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or earthworks experience is an asset.
• Physically capable of performing demanding work, including regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
• Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and active construction operations.
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
• First Aid and H2S certifications are considered assets.
• Flagging/traffic control experience is an asset.
• Willingness to work extended hours and overtime during the busy construction season.
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment testing.
