Join Our Team

KLS Earthworks Inc. is looking for a motivated and organized Health & Safety Administrator to support our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys data entry, organization, administration, and working with people. No previous health and safety experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

This is an office-based role that plays a critical part in supporting employee onboarding, safety compliance, training coordination, and documentation management.



What You’ll Do

Employee Onboarding & Orientations

  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations
  • Complete orientation paperwork and onboarding documentation
  • Schedule client-specific orientations
  • Track employee training requirements and certifications
  • Issue PPE and maintain issuance records

Data Entry & Document Control

  • Maintain employee safety files and records
  • Update training matrices and certification records
  • Enter and manage safety-related data
  • Maintain incident and investigation records
  • Organize audit documentation and compliance records
  • Generate reports and safety statistics as required

Training & Compliance

  • Coordinate training bookings and renewals
  • Track competency requirements and certification expiries
  • Maintain records training records

Administrative Support

  • Schedule employee training and meetings
  • Coordinate Gate and Geotab FOB assignments
  • Assist with IT onboarding for new hires
  • Support subcontractor prequalification processes
  • Maintain PPE and First Aid inventory records

Safety Program Support

  • Assist with shop and office inspections
  • Coordinate emergency drills
  • Support JHSC meetings and documentation
  • Prepare toolbox talk topics and safety communications



Qualifications

Required

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in data entry, administration, customer service, or office support
  • Construction, transportation, or industrial experience is considered an asset
