At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, great hospitality starts with trust. As a Surveillance Systems Technician, you're one of the behind-the-scenes heroes who helps keep our resort safe, fair, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. You'll combine technical expertise with a strong sense of integrity to protect Tribal assets, support regulatory compliance, and ensure our surveillance systems are always running smoothly. - Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
- In the absence of the Lead Surveillance Technician, attends the Monthly Safety Committee Meeting.
- Protects Tribal gaming assets by supporting the honesty, integrity, and fairness of all gaming operations operated by the Coquille Indian Tribe.
- Supports high-quality operations within the Surveillance Technical Division through clear communication and collaboration with Surveillance team members.
- Installs Surveillance Department equipment including cameras, wiring, PC equipment, racks, conduit, chases, connectors, and terminals.
- Maintains, diagnoses, and troubleshoots surveillance systems and related equipment.
- Receives work order requests and prioritizes them based on urgency, date of receipt, and equipment location.
- Inspects, repairs, tests, and services cameras and surveillance system equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance on cameras and surveillance equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintains accurate computerized records of camera locations, viewing angles, connection types, power sources, serial numbers, and lens sizes.
- Completes project requests for installations or work requiring coordination with the Maintenance Department.
- Safely operates equipment such as man lifts and aerial booms and uses ladders, power tools, and hand tools as required.
- Participates in the development and implementation of key strategies, best practices, and techniques to optimize surveillance systems.
- Assists with the planning and execution of surveillance-related projects.
- Researches surveillance technologies and recommends enhancements to support efficient and cost-effective operations.
- In the absence of the Lead Surveillance Technician, submits purchasing requisitions to the Director of Surveillance.
- Maintains and manages spare parts inventory to support uninterrupted operations.
- Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year certificate from college or technical school in basic electronic education/micro-computer basics or related work experience.
- Experience operating hand and power tools; moderate computer skills including the understanding of programming equipment; knowledge of electronic test equipment.
- Low Voltage, Surveillance Technical or Agent, Information Technology or related experience required.
- Must be able to follow safety guidelines when using required equipment, tools, and techniques while performing job duties.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and differing shifts as hours are determined by a 24-hour, 7 day per week Casino operations schedule, and are subject to change with minimal notice.
- Due to the dynamic of this position, job duties and responsibilities can change without notice.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Above average understanding of all computer-based programs used by Surveillance; File Maker, Oasis, Dahlmeier, Word, Excel, etc.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
