Take on the ownership of hardware sub-components and test rigs. Work with a team to understand the larger system and contribute to its overall success with a detailed-oriented approach. Generate requirements, create CAD, and maintain documentation for project development, fabrication, and testing.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design and develop mechanical sub-components and test rigs, ensuring functionality and manufacturability
- →Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions
- →Conduct hands-on prototype building and testing, analyzing performance data to iterate designs
- →Utilize a variety of manufacturing processes and materials to optimize designs for performance and efficiency
- →Participate in design reviews, presenting design concepts and demonstrating prototypes to stakeholders
- →Manage documentation related to project plans, design specifications, and testing procedures
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Practical experience in building and testing mechanical systems; hands-on fabrication skills are highly valued
- A genuine enthusiasm for actuation, mechanism and robotics
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to mechanical design challenges

That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.
The base starting rate for this role is $25.00 - $35.00/hour.
Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
