Staff Engagement Director
Position Title: Staff Engagement Director
Department: Global Resource Team
Reports to: CEO
This position is: Full time; Exempt; Support-raised.
The Staff Engagement Director (SE Director) plays a critical role in the Global Resource Team, championing the holistic well-being and development of our staff. This leader is committed to empowering all Launch Global staff to flourish in both life and work, ultimately multiplying their Kingdom impact worldwide. This role focuses on bringing a Staff Engagement perspective to organizational leaders and peers throughout Launch Global by collaborating with other departments to seamlessly integrate it into each organization’s teams, policies, practices, and services.
The SE Director provides executive oversight to the Staff Engagement Team, ensuring they effectively provide care, coaching, MPD support, Sabbatical guidance, strengths and gifting assessments, and spiritual formation to all Launch Global staff. By fostering a healthy organizational culture, the SE Director ensures that the SE team provides all staff with the support needed through life and ministry transitions, from onboarding to long-term deployment.
The SE Director reports to the CEO and significantly collaborates with other departments to jointly execute various and relevant objectives. The SE Director is responsible for all recruiting, hiring, shepherding, and leading for the Care Team Sr. Manager, Life and Leadership Coaching Sr. Manager, Staff Experience Sr. Manager, and the Leader Development Sr. Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Staff Engagement Team Leadership
- Shepherd and serve the team using the core principles of Lead, Develop, Care to provide strategic oversight and direction to the Staff Engagement Team, including:
- Staff Experience Senior Manager
- Life and Leadership Coaching Senior Manager
- Leader Development Senior Manager
- Care Team Senior Manager
- Care Team Specialist(s)
- Ministry Partner Development (MPD) Specialist(s)
- Staff Engagement Operations & Project Management Specialist
- Collaborate with the CEO and Strategy Leadership Team (SLT) to align staff engagement strategies with organizational goals.
- Advance LG’s core values.
Staff Care & Well-being
- Oversee the development and execution of care initiatives that help staff navigate critical roles or life transitions.
- Ensure robust support systems and resourcing for effective monthly DOPE (Day of Prayer and Evaluation).
- Direct the planning and facilitation of meaningful Personal and Marriage Retreats for staff refreshment, as well as sabbaticals for tenured staff.
- Identify "moments that matter" in the employee life-cycle to create interventions that amplify growth and retention.
Professional & Spiritual Development
- Champion the implementation of assessments that help staff explore their unique SHAPE (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, Experience) and how it influences their work.
- Oversee the Life and Leadership Coaching function to support ongoing development and coaching access for all staff.
- Facilitate resources for working through team or church dynamics to ensure healthy partnerships.
- Assist leaders across Launch Global with recruitment and onboarding of key staffing needs.
Operational & MPD Support
- Collaborate with the HR Director, Staff Experience Senior Manager, and MPD Specialist(s) to ensure seamless support structures are in place.
- Evaluate and improve processes related to ministry partner development and ensure all staff can initiate their ministry partnerships smoothly and successfully.
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership regarding staff health, retention risks, and engagement metrics in connection with HR.

- Leadership paradigm: Ability to learn and apply the “Lead, Develop, Care” leadership model, using a people-centered approach to guide, strengthen, and support individuals and teams in achieving the organization’s mission.
- Leadership culture: Proven track record of leading diverse teams with humility and boldness, fostering a culture of trust and excellence.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex organizational needs with clarity and inspiration.
- Interpersonal Dynamics: Ability to foster team development and healthy team culture, navigating interpersonal skills with grace and wisdom.
- Organizational Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize appropriately and seamlessly juggle multiple tasks.
- Coaching/Adaptability: Embrace The Coach Model by actively giving and receiving coaching, assessing progress, and implementing changes based on feedback.
- Spiritual Maturity: Displays a track record of achieving results by relying on God in prayer and humility exercised in bold faith.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- At least 5 years of ministry leadership experience required.
- Understand, affirm, and adhere to Launch Global’s Statement of Faith.
