Founded in 1985 by Board Chair Hon. John V. Lindsay, Executive Producer Bernard Gersten and Director Gregory Mosher, and led for 33 years by André Bishop, LCT is one of the leading nonprofit theaters in the country, producing an annual season of plays and musicals that have been seen by millions around the globe. It is one of 11 autonomous constituents of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Each year, the three theaters that make up LCT welcome nearly 300,000 audience members to its home on the Lincoln Center campus.

Position Summary:
Lincoln Center Theater seeks a seasonal Assistant Production Manager to join our production department from August 2026 – April 2027. The Assistant Production Manager will be an active member of the production team assisting the Production Manager (PM) and Associate Production Managers (APMs). The Production team is responsible for coordination and execution of the stage productions in the Vivian Beaumont Theater, Mitzi Newhouse Theater and Claire Tow Theater year-round. The Production Department collaborates with all other Lincoln Center Theater administrative departments for readings, workshops, and special events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist PM & APMs with day-to-day activities.
- Liaise with other LCT administrative departments.
- Maintain Production Management office equipment and supplies.
- Liaise with the show companies as directed by PM & APM’s.
- Attend production meetings and staff meetings.
- Execute and coordinate purchases with PM, APM’s and department heads.
- Help implement inclusive practices for LCT productions.
- Assist with administrative tasks in other production departments as needed.
Position Requirements and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work collaboratively across differing departments.
- Ability to positively respond as plans and circumstances evolve and change.
- Ability for a flexible schedule during technical rehearsals and preview shows.
- A year of experience in theater or an arts organization is preferable but not required.
Compensation:
This is a temporary, approximately 9 months (36 weeks), full-time, non-exempt, salaried position with a salary range of $1,154/week - $1,230/week.
