What you will be doing:

We are looking for a Mid-Level Centralized Services Engineer to own and support the tools, platforms, and configurations used across internal IT operations and client environments within a Managed Service Provider environment.

You will configure, deploy, integrate, and maintain core technology platforms while helping standardize systems, improve operational efficiency, and automate recurring processes. The role will include supporting Microsoft and AWS cloud environments, backup and disaster recovery solutions, endpoint and identity platforms, networking technologies, and security tools.

You will develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for patching, remediation, and system maintenance, build operational reports and system-health checklists, and maintain clear technical documentation and runbooks. You will also collaborate with Service Desk, Technical Alignment Management, vCIO, and Professional Services teams to reduce recurring issues, automate processes, resolve technical misalignments, and support specialized deployments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, centralized services, infrastructure engineering, or a similar technical role, preferably within an MSP environment.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly with PowerShell.

  • Experience managing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows environments, and backup solutions.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft and AWS cloud environments.

  • Experience configuring, deploying, integrating, and maintaining technology platforms across internal and client environments.

  • Experience with MSP tools covering remote monitoring and management, endpoint management, documentation, backup, and security.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.

  • Experience developing configuration policies to promote consistency and compliance.

  • Ability to create and maintain operational reports, system-health checklists, technical documentation, and runbooks.

  • Strong documentation discipline and a process-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and client environments simultaneously.

  • Availability to work SG Computers’ standard Monday through Friday schedule, approximately 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • English proficiency: B2+.

Good to have:

  • Experience with Autotask, Kaseya VSA or VSAx, IT Glue, Microsoft Intune, SentinelOne, or Cisco Meraki.

  • Familiarity with security and monitoring tools such as RocketCyber, Zscaler, KnowBe4, SaaS Alerts, Barracuda, or Cisco Umbrella.

  • Experience with security operations platforms, including SIEM, SOC, or XDR solutions.

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks and risk-assessment tools, including Microsoft Compliance Manager, HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2, or CMMC.

  • Familiarity with APIs and platform integrations.

  • Experience supporting Linux, macOS, or mobile device management environments.

  • ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or related certifications.
