Position Location: Aliso Viejo, CA
As the Development Engineer II CONTRACTOR, you will:
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform MNO certification testing and validation activities for cellular-connected automotive products.
- →Support carrier certification processes by preparing test plans, executing test cases, and documenting results.
- →Investigate network, modem, software, and system issues identified during certification testing and support root cause analysis.
- →Work closely with development teams, certification labs, and carriers to resolve certification-related issues.
- →Monitor certification milestones and provide regular status updates on testing progress and issue closure.
- →Support compliance with carrier requirements and ensure certification deliverables are completed on schedule.
- →Maintain technical documentation, test reports, and issue tracking records.
- →Support product launch readiness activities related to carrier and connectivity certifications.
Requirements
~1 min read- Knowledge of wireless communication technologies, including LTE, 5G, VoLTE, and network protocols.
- Experience in product validation, certification, testing, or related engineering activities.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, external partners, and customers to achieve project objectives.
- Passion for technology, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with MNO/Carrier certification activities for wireless, telematics, or connected products.
- Bilingual - Korean / English
- Familiarity with carrier, regulatory, or industry certification processes and requirements.
- Experience with embedded systems, networking, and diagnostic/log analysis tools.
- Up to 30% travel, including out-of-state and international travel as required
- Ability to:
- Sit/Drive and/or test in a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day, up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30lb samples, benches, box and tools
- Interact with display/center controller/steering wheel while driving or while stationary testing
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in wireless communications, telematics, connectivity solutions.
