We’ve been shaping Montana’s roads, bridges, and communities for over 50 years—and we’re just getting started. Our crews are known for quality work, safety, and getting the job done right.

Now we’re looking for a Surveyor / Grade Setter to keep our projects on grade and on point. If you’ve got an eye for precision and you’re not afraid of hard work, this is your spot.

  • Work with the surveyor and operators to keep jobs on track.
  • Signal operators and call corrections when needed.
  • Fix low and high spots by hand when it matters—shovel, tamp, and adjust.
  • Jump in where needed: shoveling, raking, moving materials, running a wheelbarrow.
  • Set up and move traffic control (signs, cones, barricades).
  • Run small tools like jackhammers if needed.
  • Do daily inspections and keep the paperwork right.
  • Follow all safety rules and look out for your crew.

What It Takes to Join the Crew

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in construction or grade setting using GPS, LIDAR and total station millimeter control tools.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Pass drug test and physical.
  • Tough enough to work in all weather—heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Good attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay you can count on.
  • Medical, dental, and life insurance.
  • Retirement plan for your future. (401(k) and profit sharing)
  • Opportunities to learn, move up, and build a long-term career.
  • A solid crew and a company that values safety, respect, and hard work.
