Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the school’s mission and the principles of classical education
  • Plan lessons and deliver instruction according to NCA’s classical curriculum and pedagogy, guiding students to acquire skills in music and to enjoy, appreciate, and interpret music in their daily lives
  • Encourage and promote the coordination of music with other subject areas in the curriculum
  • Evaluate student performance in music, maintain grade books in Infinite Campus, and communicate proactively with parents
  • Assist the Director of Fine Arts in inventorying, organizing, ordering, and caring for music materials and equipment
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and executing programs and festivals for the school

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required.
  • Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
